If you’ve been wondering how I made those video’s of the temporal frequency analysis. Read on.

First, you’ll need a couple pieces of software.
The first is the software to actually create the analysis. I use Wavepad from NCH software. There are probably other audio editing software that can do this, but I haven’t found one.

The second piece of software is used to turn the Analysis output into a video. Normally the output is for viewing live only. Another piece of software from NCH, Debut. But you can also use any screen capture software that will let you capture a region of the screen. Like, Camtasia, or Corel Video Studio.
